At 3 Ravens, we combine new tech with common-sense sustainability to keep our footprint small.
How are we doing this?
With our Process…
We’ve been chipping away at our footprint for years, starting with simple LED lighting in 2016 and a "cool roof" in 2020 to kill the A/C load.
By 2023, we went 100% electric and insulated our tanks to keep the heat where it belongs.
Today, our heat pump system recycles waste heat to run the brewery, making us quite literally beer-powered.
With the sun now fuelling nearly 85% of our operations, we’re focused on one goal: using less energy for every litre we brew.
With our ingredients...
We’re passionate about keeping things local. By sourcing malt, hops, yeast, and water from nearby suppliers, we’re reducing transport emissions and investing in our regional community.
Our Wild Ravens range takes it a step further by upcycling grape marcs from Victorian wineries. These by-products, once destined for waste, are now key ingredients in our unique Wild Ales.

We like keeping our beer close to home.
By focusing on local shipping, we keep transit times short and emissions low. It also means the beer gets to you faster and fresher.
We’ve even ditched the traditional delivery fleet for a partnership with GoGet, which helps us cut down on our footprint and the overhead of owning our own trucks.

For small craft breweries like ours, energy efficiency isn’t as straightforward as you’d find in large-scale operations.
Challenges like irregular brewing schedules, smaller spaces, and smaller batch sizes keep us on our toes. But with clever solutions and relentless innovation, we’ve managed to overcome these hurdles and pave the way for sustainable brewing.
